Heads up all
Crysis fans! Earlier today, we just received reports that the first box art for
Crysis 3 has already been leaked including its price, in which its possible
announcement may happen as early as next week.
So the first
blowout came from a tweet linking to this screenshot of what appears to be a
legit looking Crysis 3 sales page showing a character with a bow (a weapon
we’ve never seen on any Crysis titles) forking out $49.99 for PC, PS3 and Xbox
360.
After a
couple of digging, EG found related images showing a clear portrait of the new
cover. If you’ll zoom the image, you can see a distinguishable silhouette with
London’s tower, although other sources suggest it may be a hazy appearance of
New York’s ruins – the place where Crysis 2 ended.
Lastly, folks
from NeoGaf manage to grab a screenshot of Gamereactor’s next issue showing a
familiar octagonal pattern within its background. Upon inspection, you can see
it resembles a nanosuit which hints Crysis 3 announcement may arrive later this
month.
On January
2011, we reported that Crysis 2 will definitely have a sequel according to
Crytek’s CEO Cevat Yeri. However, it’s enclosed with an ‘if-condition’
statement within C2’s reception and sales. Perhaps, the team finally found the
answer and they’re ready to tease us soon. Still, we advice everyone to treat
this leak with a grain of salt until we hear some official revelation.
